To use a passholder fare, the passengers must hold a valid rail pass (the pass must be valid at the time of travel). The pass must also cover ALL countries for the chosen journey.

WARNING: trains sometimes travel through countries other than the start and finish country, for example

• A journey from Munich to Zurich the train goes through Austria, therefore the passengers must have Austria on their rail passes as well as Germany and Switzerland.
• A train from Prague to Budapest goes through Slovakia.
• A train from Cologne to Paris passes through Belgium.

2^nd class passholders can only purchase 2^nd class passholder fares.

Eurostar Passholder Rules:

• Passholder fares will require the use of one day of the pass validity
• Eurail Passes must be validated prior to boarding the Eurostar. This can be done at the Eurostar terminal
• Check in time for travellers using passholder fares on Eurostar is 45 minutes
• Passengers holding BritRail Passes do not qualify for Eurostar Passholder fares
• Passengers holding Eurail One Country Pass or Eurail Two Country Select Pass including France/Benelux issued on/after 1^st April 2018 are not eligible for a passholder fare on the Eurostar. Eurail One Country Pass & Eurail Two Country Select Pass including France/Benelux issued before 1^st April 2018 are still eligible for a passholder fare on the Eurostar, regardless of the travel date.
• Passengers holding Eurail Two Country Select Pass for France & Italy issued on/after 1^st July 2017 are not eligible for a passholder fare on the Eurostar. Holders of Eurail Two Country Select Pass for France & Italy issued before 1^st July 2017 are still eligible for a passholder fare on the Eurostar, regardless of the travel date.
