The 2,979km journey includes a full day in Alice Springs with plenty of time to visit the town landmarks, get up close and personal with Australia's incredible flora and fauna or simply explore 'the Alice' at your own pace. Your evening comes to a close with an outback BBQ under a canopy of stars cast across the magnificent MacDonnell Ranges.

The Ghan Expedition also includes a day in the opal mining capital of the world - Coober Pedy. A friendly tour guide will lead you through the fascinating tunnels and caves of this underground town, where most of the residents live underground. You will also visit the desert-like moonscape known as the Breakaways.
